Wowzers...

Wow. I went from updating this blog, saying 187 to now saying 76 days!!!!

Since I have last blogged, I completed a summer semester in the Education cohort and started the fall semester, went to my very fist Thirty-One conference, had my very first Bridal shower, and sent out my ACTUAL wedding invitations and I am planning a Study Abroad trip to Belize to help the students with limited resources! :)

On sadder note, since I last blogged, I also had to say goodbye to one of my best friends. I adopted Stanley from Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia in 2008. I was originally his foster mom but soon failed and adopted him. He was an amazing basset and brought joy into my life and Steven's life. We will never forget the old, stinky man. We miss him dearly but know he is not in pain anymore.

We decided to adopt again a few weeks later after we got Stan back and gave him a proper place in the house. Below is how we memorialized the old man. I eventually moved the urn under the beautiful drawing and the amazing silhouette done by the amazing Tim Arnold.

We waited a little while and found a new large fellow named Nickleby. We are still trying to figure him out but we love him already!

I also had by first Bridal Shower on September 8th. It was AWESOME! Below are some pictures that were snapped by my cousin Marie and my sister Ellie. A lot of the decorations were hand made by me and my sister.

Me! I was ready to see some faces I have not seen in years.

Adorable decorations. Thank you Ellie for making the invitation picture holder, advice book and the cute burlap flower holder. I received a lot of great advice and some...more interesting ones, haha.

Loved my "Sweets" table. Cupcakes, cake, mints, kisses and sweet tea. All decor, hand made by me. :) Let me know if you want to know how to make the pomander balls or the banner.

TONS of gifts! Thank you everyone!! I loved every single thing. Look out for thank you notes in the mail!

Another gift photo. China!!

All gifts, unwrapped. Bed, Bath and Beyond thanks you for your business! :)

My ribbon/bow bouquet. Oh, and my pre-thank you note on the white-board, haha.

From left to right: Steven's grandmother, My mother, ME, Steven's mother & Steven's Aunt. I really like this picture!!

We haven't seen them in forever!! L to R: My mother, Ms. Pat, my sister, Teah and ME

I was so done with smiling at this point. I was hot (as you can tell from the pulled back hair, red face and the pompadour that somehow morphed into a point, ha!)

My China and some other plates given to me found a beautiful home in this antique China cabinet given as a wedding gift from my parent's friend. Love it! Love the color!

I stuck these babies in the mail today. Be on the lookout!!

As stated above, I am trying to get to Belize to help the students over there. We will be bringing them supplies, our knowledge and love. If you can help with a donation, please let me know. Below is a ChipIn I created for easy donations. It goes straight to my PayPal to help towards the expense of going. If you wanted to look at the site from the school, the website is HERE. The website hasn't been updated but all of the info is the same. I promise to post lots of photos!! :)
